Australian Festival Goers thank cabin crew member for sniffer dog warning

Music lovers returning from the Splendour in the Grass festival were given ‘the heads up’ by a member of the Jetstar’s flight crew on Sunday night that sniffer dogs and quarantine officers were waiting at the terminal in Sydney.

During the flight from the Gold Coast, an in-flight announcement was made warning passengers to flush “anything you shouldn’t have.” The announcement apparently “sparked a rush to the bathrooms.”  The airline has since apologised and explained that the announcement was made by an “overzealous casual employee.” In a statement Jetstar explained that “the crew member’s words were poorly chosen and are plainly at odds with the professional standards we’d expect from our team. We’re addressing the matter with the cabin crew member involved.”
