Love is in the air

Valentine’s Day is nearly upon us!  Interestingly, the 14th February was first associated as a day for love in the Middle ages and by 18th-century England, it evolved into an occasion when lovers expressed their desire for each other by sending flowers, sweets and greeting cards known as Valentines.

Today the gifts are no different  just a little more exotic! Fancy sampling some fine wine in Bordeaux, taking a gondola ride down the canals of Venice or visiting the home of gourmet sweet treats – Belgium. Sound expensive?  Well, not necessarily. If you look around there are some great flight deals on offer  that would make a fabulous Valentine’s get-away present. So, to help you with your choice check out romantic get-away inspiration.

Good luck with your Valentine’s Day plans and happy travels if you take that romantic trip. But, if you experience a flight delay over three hours, find out here if you’re entitled to a Valentines’ Day compensation treat from your airline.
