Troubled Landing Manchester United at Cologne Airport

Manchester United experienced some scary moments during their flight to Cologne yesterday. They are in Germany for their soccer match against Bayer Leverkusen tonight.

United’s Monarch Airlines flight headed to Cologne’s airport  and experienced a tough landing. The pilot was approaching the runway for landing and suddenly had to abort to avoid another aircraft that was still on the runway. The Airbus A321 had to circle around for another ten minutes before the second approach towards the runway was made.

Manchester United has not given any comment on this event. However, United’s Rio Ferdinand tweeted:

Let’s hope this scary incident will not be of any bad influence  for the Champions League Match in Germany tonight.
