Winter sun destinations

Days are getting shorter and nights are getting colder, winter will soon be here. While some of us are staring at the clouds, waiting for the snow to fall, others just want to get winter over with. We created a list of winter sun destinations for those who want to have summer back.

Cancun

The city of Cancun is a well known tourist destination located in southeastern Mexico. It has white beaches and luxurious hotels, but is also surrounded by historical sites. The tourist zone of the island is part of the world’s second-largest coral reef.

Dubai

Also referred to as the City of Gold, Dubai is one of the most expensive places to live in in the world, its economy is partially based on tourism and aviation. It is a good place for shopping, as it has lots of shopping centers including the largest mall in the world. Other tourist sites include the world’s largest flower garden, and the world’s tallest building.

Maldives

This island country is one of the most geographically dispersed places in the world. It consists of coral islands containing live reefs and sand bars. Mauritius

Salvador

Knows as “Brazil’s Capital of Happiness,” Salvador is a sunny, metropolitan destination on the South American coast. Notable are its cuisine, architecture and music. Salvador’s main tourist attraction is its historical city center called Pelourinho: it has, among others, a museum, old houses and an old church.
