    Summer is upon us and this is one of the busiest times for airports and airlines. As many prepare for their summer holidays, we take the time to evaluate last years flight data. We have complied a list of the most delayed flights to and from the UK. These flights were delayed for more than three hours during the summer period (April – October) of 2015.

    Flying can be very stressful. A delayed or cancelled flight can cause a big disruption of your travel plans.     It’s time to plan a summer holiday. A lot of Britons already have a warm and sunny Mediterranean destination in mind. But what about Great Britain? Is it suddenly not that great when it comes down to summer plans? The millions of tourists our country welcomes every year would beg to differ.

    Last week, a Ryanair stewardess made the news with one of her announcements.  When ice was forming on an already delayed plane, she told the passengers to wait patiently as “We don’t want to die”.     National Enforcement Bodies do not need to enforce the Regulation

    In Europe all airlines must abide by the same rules regarding passenger rights, better known as the EC Regulation 261/2004. The Raad van State (Dutch Administrative Supreme Court) requested an advice from the Advocate-General concerning Article 16 ‘Infringements’ of the Regulation.

    Flight delay compensation is always a hot topic and it heated up again recently with the ruling from the European Court of Justice on the Van der Lans Vs KLM case. We are pleased that more and more air passengers are aware of EU Regulation 261 and their rights if they are delayed by over three hours.
