    New cooperation between easyJet and Cathay Pacific at Gatwick Airport

    It just got a lot easier for passengers to switch from easyJet flights to intercontinental flights by Cathay Pacific at London Gatwick Airport. In compliance with the ‘Worldwide by easyJet’ initiative, passengers of the British budget airline are now able to transfer to intercontinental destinations hassle-free.

    Snow affects hundreds of thousands of airline passengers in the USA

    A large snowstorm has heavily affected air traffic in the United States the past weekend. Over 5000 flights have been cancelled since Friday due to the weather and the problems are not over yet.

    Spanish cabin crew of Ryanair on strike this week

    Ryanair cabin crew in Spain has planned three days of strike action this week. The strike was supposed to start today, which was just now cancelled, due to allow time for further talks with the management. The strikes on Thursday and Sunday have not been cancelled, union SITCPLA stated on twitter.

    Eurowings employees strike in Dusseldorf

    Cabin crew staff at Eurowings held a strike during this morning. More than forty flights departing from Dusseldorf International Airport have been cancelled. Many other flights suffered long delays. The disruptions affect only flights in Dusseldorf.

    Aviapartner strike at Brussels Zaventem Airport continues

    Baggage handlers from Aviapartner walked out last Thursday as part of a strike. The strike will continue until today. The unions did not call the strike in advance. Airlines such as Ryanair and KLM were affected by this issue. Many flights have been cancelled due to the strike.

    Singapore Airlines breaks world record with the longest flight

    The Singapore Airlines flight SQ22 departed on Thursday, breaking the world record for the longest flight. The record-breaking flight will fly directly to New York without stopping. The new Airbus A350-900 departed from Changi Airport. Exactly 18 hours and 25 minutes later, the airplane will be arriving at Newark Liberty International in New York.

    More Ryanair strikes affect over 200 flights

    On September 28th, many flights from and to the UK were cancelled due to a Ryanair pilot strike. The impact of the strike is also very large in Germany and Belgium. Many passengers received the news of this strike too late, leaving them unsure about the cancellation of their flights.

    New British Airways Route from London Heathrow to Osaka

    Passengers will be able to soak up Osaka next summer! After closing the route in October of 1998, British Airways confirmed the reopening of the route from London Heathrow to the second largest city in Japan, Osaka. The airline will start operating this route starting from March 31, 2019.

    European Court: Issuing Airline responsible for compensation with wet-lease

    The European Court of Justice has decided yesterday, that the ticket-issuing airline is responsible for paying the compensation when involved in a wet-lease contract with a different, flight-operating airline.
